Eating more carbohydrates does not mean being at high risk for heart disease.  However, there are carbohydrates that are quickly absorbed by the body and these are the kind to be avoided:  white rice, white bread, and pizza among others.

Those carbohydrates with low glycemic index like pasta and fruits are the safer kinds for consumption especially by women.
